The wars we wage have impact on the native people for generation to come. One of my good friends was a war refugee from Tailand. The war in Vietnam had a devastating impact on his culture. His people were substanance farmers and hunters. When US troops left Vietnam many cultures that helped up fight the Vietcong were under attack. Many of them came to America for refuge. Integrating into American society was very hard for him.
I can't begin to imagine what it is like to have to decide to leave your home because your life is in danger. This is going on right now.
